He Will Cover You With His Feathers

Psalm 91 is one of the most famous Psalms in the Bible. It’s a promise from God to His people that they will be protected and provided for by Him. The verses are written in poetic form and each verse contains a picture of how we can trust in God when we’re facing difficult situations. This sermon is designed to help us see this truth in our own lives and how it applies to us today!

Sermon: He Will Cover You With His Feathers

The final song we will sing today is a refrain from one of my favorite hymns: “He Will Cover You With His Feathers.”

I feel this song speaks to the unique experience that is having God as your protector. When you have faith in God, you know He will protect and keep you safe. It’s not only that—He also protects your soul with His love and grace. He knows what’s best for us and what we need to thrive in this world, so He makes sure we are covered with His feathers whenever we are under attack or facing difficulty.

Feel free to join me as I sing!

Scripture: Psalm 91:1-4

Psalm 91:1-4 is a promise from God to protect and cover us with His feathers.

The Message of Psalm 91

The message of Psalm 91 is clear: God is our refuge. He will protect us from the wicked and give us a shield to protect us from their attacks. He will also give us a helmet to protect our minds, because they are often attacked by lies and deception.

Trusting in the Shelter of the Almighty

You are not alone. God will protect you from evil and be your shield and defender. He will comfort you with His feathers and shelter you from the storm, even if it seems like the sky is falling.

He is strong enough to carry the weight of this world on His shoulders, so that we may rest in Him and find peace amidst our struggles.

He is our refuge and fortress when we are afraid; He will be our high tower when we feel as though all hope has been lost, or when we are caught up in a storm of attacks against us by others who want nothing more than to destroy us.

God is our salvation—the very life that sustains us!

When we put our trust in God, He has us covered.

When we put our trust in God, He has us covered. Trusting God means that you believe that He will always love you and care for you. For example, when we are in danger or trouble, we can trust Him to protect us from harm. When we are sick or hurting emotionally, we can trust Him to take care of us by healing our bodies and comforting our hearts. When we have needs like food and shelter, clothing and money; when things go wrong with our cars or computers…we can trust Him to provide for these needs too!

When people put their trust in God it changes their lives because it makes them more secure about themselves as well as others around them because they know who is really watching out for all of us even if no one else does (John 14:18). This kind of faith helps those who need guidance find comfort through difficult times without turning away from the light shining brightly within them at all times despite what other people may think about their choices being made through life’s experiences overall.”

He will cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. “He is like a shelter from the wind, A shade from the heat of day; The fruit of His works is like a radiant glow, A delight to behold. We cannot see God, but He is always there to help us. We do not know when He will come, but we do know that He will come at the right time. Psalm 91 tells us that we need to be ready when He comes. We want you to be prepared for His arrival because the world is in turmoil and only God can save itLord, please be our refuge and shelter when we are afraid. Please give us peace amidst any storm we face. We pray that You would protect us from evil, and that Your angels would guard us as they did the disciples on Pentecost. Thank You, Lord God Almighty! In Jesus’ name we prayHe that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler…”

In the end, there is an important lesson for us as we learn to trust God. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that God is our protector, but Psalm 91 reminds us of this fact. When we put our trust in God, He has us covered and will always keep us safe from harm.
