The Prayer of the Church for the United States of America is a prayer written by Charles Theodora Colton in 1836. In this petition to God, Colton asks that if his people turn from their wicked ways, God will hear from Heaven and forgive them and heal their land.
The Prayer of the Church for the United States of America
The prayer of the church for the United States of America:
We pray that God would remove from us all sinful attitudes and actions, and grant us instead a spirit of humility, gentleness, patience and kindness.
We pray that God would grant wisdom to our leaders so they might discern how best to promote justice among all people and protect human rights; that they might work together for the common good; that they might hold themselves accountable for their words and actions; and that they might seek peace when possible.
We pray for all who serve in our military forces across this nation: That they may be kept safe from harm’s way as they carry out their duties on behalf of our country; That those who have been injured or killed in service may find healing through faith in Christ Jesus; And that those who return home safely may know your love again.
2 Chronicles 7:14
2 Chronicles 7:14 is the prayer of the church for the United States of America. This is a nation that has been called by God, and we are praying that this nation would come back to what it was originally called to be.
We are a house of prayer for all people. We need something like this in our country again—the kind of commitment and dedication that will make our nation great again—and we need it now more than ever before!
that My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led away from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the one we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enoughWe pray for all who are affected by terrorism and war: Those who have lost loved ones in acts of violence; those who live in fear of being harmed themselves; those who fight against injustice and oppression; and those whose lives have been changed by war. We pray that God would grant wisdom to our leaders so they might discern how best to promote justice among all people and protect human rights; that they might work together for the common good; that they might hold themselves accountable for their words and actions;.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you, the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.
