Section 1: Introduction
Chapter 10 – Verses 8 to 9
The first two verses of this chapter are a familiar verse to many couples: “I am my beloved’s, and his desire is for me.” This verse was read at our wedding and I remember wishing the song would go on forever! It depicts the happiness of being one with your spouse, knowing that you will always be loved by them. When I read this verse now, it reminds me that God loves us just as we are and wants us to feel secure in Him alone.
The next two verses talk about how women should be valued in society: “She is more precious than jewels.” This teaches us that women have dignity that comes from God alone, not from their beauty or wealth. We should treat them with respect because they were made in God’s image just like we were (Genesis 1:27). As husbands we must treat our wives as equal partners who are capable of making decisions on their own without having to ask permission all the time like children do when they grow up! In fact some translations say before marriage too but many scholars believe this refers only after marriage due to another Hebrew word used here which means “after” so don’t worry 😉
The Bible tells us that wisdom is a gift from God and that we should ask Him for it (James 1:5). We can increase our own wisdom by learning from others who are wise and by reading good books. As we grow in knowledge, we become more valuable to God because He uses us to share His truth with othersIn this article, we will discuss the status of women in Islam. We will also explain why they cannot be treated as second-class citizens and how they can contribute to their societies..
Chapter 12 – Verses 25 to 26
You are more precious than jewels,
and nothing you have can compare to your value.
As pure gold is considered the most valuable of all metals, so you are more precious than diamonds. The man who has you is truly rich; there is no price that could be put on your worth. For if he lost you and were forced to live without you for even one hour, it would be like losing his life’s blood or a limb from his body; and there is no amount of money that could replace what he would lose if he lost you because she is more precious than jewels!
Chapter 14 – Verse 11
She is more precious than jewels,
more precious than gold,
more precious than pearls and rubies;
more precious than silver, and gold;
More precious than diamonds and rubies.
Chapter 15 – Verses 13 and 16
Verse 15:13 is a proverb, and verse 16:16 is another. Proverbs are short sayings that express valuable truths or principles.
“She is more precious than jewels” (verse 16:16) may seem like an odd thing to say about a person, but the Bible shows us that wisdom is valuable beyond measure.
The man who has you is truly rich; there is no price that could be put on your worth. For if he lost you and were forced to live without you for even one hour, it would be like losing his life’s blood or a limb from his body; and there is no amount of money that could replace what he would lose if he lost youThis verse also teaches us about God’s value for women. He made them precious and valued them above all other things! In a world where women were often treated as property or less than men, this verse is an amazing reminder that they are valuable because they were created in God’s image (Genesis 1:27)And the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him…
Chapter 19 – Verse 14
Behold, she is more precious than jewels and all the things of this world. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The best women in the world are four: Maryam bint `Imran (the mother of Moses), Asiya bint Muzahim (the wife of Pharaoh), Khadijah bint Khuwaylid (the first wife of the Prophet Muhammad) and Fatimah az-Zahra’ (the daughter of Imam `Ali).”
The Prophet’s words are a clear-cut evidence on how important women are for Islam and for men who want to follow its teachings. It also shows that men who do not value women or disregard their rights will never succeed in life or become happy people.

She is more precious than jewels.
She is more precious than gold, or diamonds.
She is more beautiful than the stars in the sky, and sweeter than honey on your tongue.
