Skyrim At The Summit Of Apocrypha
As it turns out, Hermaeus Mora has quite a few things to say about the Dragonborns and their origins. Their power comes from themselves, but also from the world around them. The dragon souls within them are simply echoes of ancient beings that once walked Tamriel – dragons who were themselves creatures of pure magic!
Hi there, this is my private blog. I only use it to keep track of my thoughts and research. If you have stumbled across it in your travels through Apocrypha, then… Well, my apologies. I’ve no intention or need to publish or share these musings.

I am not sure how you found my blog, but I am sorry if it caused you any inconvenience or confusion
The purpose of this blog is for me to record the journey I’m about to embark on – a journey that may well prove illuminating and enlightening beyond measure!

This project has been in the works for some time now, and as such, it is important to note that I have made many preparations in advance of my arrival at Apocrypha’s summit. This includes but is not limited to:
- Preparation of supplies needed for the trip (food, water purification tablets, etc.)
- Reading up on all available literature regarding the subject matter and topic of study – in this case: ancient Dwarven lore related to Apocrypha itself
- Contacting relevant authorities/friends/family members who might be able or willing [to] assist me during my stay
For years now, I’ve been trying to determine the source of the unique magical power held by the Dragonborns. We know they are humans (or elves) with the soul of a dragon, but that goes only so far in explaining how they can bend the will of others, or shout people from cliffs!

Of course, most people assume that this is all due to some sort of magic associated with dragons. But if you were able to speak to one directly about it—as I have done—you would find that not all dragons are alike when it comes to their powers. Some may even be weaker than others! So who knows what might happen if you were born with more than one soul?
But who cares about any other kind of magic? The real question here is: why do these abilities appear only among certain humans? And why do they disappear once they die?
Say what you like about Hermaeus Mora, but he’s certainly got no issue with sharing his knowledge. He’s sent me off on an expedition to discover the secrets of those who came before… and he’s given me a remarkable tool for doing so!
You can’t deny that Hermaeus Mora is an imposing presence. The Daedric Prince of knowledge and memory, he’s a powerful being who isn’t known for sharing his secrets easily.
But he has given you the Elder Scrolls—powerful tools that allow you to travel back in time.
. If you are a friend or family member of mine, then please do not worry. I am fine, and there is nothing to be concerned about. I am just writing in my diary.
The Elder Scrolls!
The Elder Scrolls are fragments of the original scrolls that were used by the ancients to create a time-space distortion called “The Warp in the West” or “Dragon Break.” The event split Tamriel into multiple timelines, including one where Tiber Septim was not born.
During this time, some followers of Hermaeus Mora attempted to open a portal to Apocrypha by creating a Great Welkynd Stone and placing it on an altar within an ancient Dwemer citadel. The Mages Guild attempted to stop them but they failed after losing most of their members in battle with creatures spawned from within Apocrypha itself (including Xivilai Moath).
The answer, I think, is that each of these people was born with a special soul. And not just any kind of soul; they had the souls of dragons! Now this may seem strange because we know that humans have no souls at all. But perhaps the dragons have some way of creating them—or stealing them from somewhere elseHermaeus Mora is a powerful being who isn’t known for sharing his secrets easily. But he has given you the Elder Scrolls—powerful tools that allow you to travel back in time This is fantastic! It means that when we need to find out what happened in a particular time in our history, we can ask the scrolls. They will show us exactly what happened and where it happened. This will make it much easier for me to write my book on the history of TamrielThe portal was opened and many Daedra poured into Mundus, including Hermaeus Mora himself. He used his influence to corrupt the minds of the remaining Mages Guild members, who then fled back to their headquarters in the Imperial City. The last remaining member was Savos Aren, who was able to seal off the citadel but not before Hermaeus Mora managed to steal Jagar Tharn’s soul after he became trapped within Apocrypha…?
Hermaeus Mora has gifted me with the scrolls themselves – well, pieces of them at least – and when placed on pedestals with magical properties, they allow us to revisit past events in our history!

in Apocrypha, including but not limited to: The Academy of Arcane Science and Technology (AAST), for their knowledge regarding the subject matter and topic of study.
And so I now begin my journey – the first in what I hope will be many. As before, I’ll be using this blog to record my findings. And if you’re curious about what exactly we’re looking for? Well, there are several things that could help us understand how dragons came to be…
