What Does The Bible Say About Itself
The Bible is the most read, most translated and most preached book in the world. It is also one of the oldest books that still exists today. The Bible has been translated into more than 2,000 languages and dialects, meaning that it is available to more people than any other book. The Bible is divided into two sections: Old Testament and New Testament
In a nutshell, the Bible is all about God.
The Bible is all about God. It’s not about us, and it’s not even about what we think it says.
If you want to understand the Bible, then you must first understand that God is the central theme of Scripture’s message. In other words, God is at the center of everything in the Bible—every story, every word, every act—and everything in Scripture points back to Him as its ultimate purpose and meaning. The Bible talks a lot about love (God’s) and grace (God’s), but what does that mean? Why should we care?
When we start reading through this ancient collection of writings with fresh eyes and an open heart, we begin to see how much more there is than just stories about people living their lives in some old place called Israel thousands of years ago. What we find instead are stories about how amazing it feels when God shows up unexpectedly; how powerful His love can be; how gracious He can be toward us even when we don’t deserve His favor at all; how He continually gives us hope despite our weaknesses and failings; how He desires above all else that we would know Him better so that someday soon—all too soon for those who fear death most—we can join Him forever!
The Bible itself says that we should live by every word that God speaks.
The Bible itself says that we should live by every word that God speaks. That’s what Jesus said in Matthew 4:4 and Deuteronomy 8:3.
In fact, after all of this talk about the Bible being God’s words to us and how important it is that we study it, you may be wondering why we don’t just read the whole thing through once a year or something like that. Well I have good news for you! The answer is simple: because then it wouldn’t be like living in the dark ages anymore.
The Bible is the only book that talks about how to be saved and go to heaven.
The Bible is the only book that teaches us how to be saved and go to heaven. It is also the only book that tells us how to live a good life.
Many people say that there are many other books that teach about God, but those books do not tell you how to be saved and go to heaven. God wants all of us humans who live on Earth, whether we are Christians or not, if they know Jesus died for their sins and rose from the dead then they will have eternal life in Heaven with him.
The Bible claims to be the only source of truth.
The Bible claims to be the only source of truth. It is the only book that is true, reliable, trustworthy, and inspired by God.
The Bible explains why the world is messed up and how we can have hope.
The Bible explains why the world is messed up and how we can have hope. The Bible tells us that the world is messed up because of sin. But it also tells us that we have hope because of Jesus. Unfortunately, many people in this age find no peace or comfort from the Bible’s message because they don’t understand its proper use and purpose.
It’s easy to see why so many people are confused about what the Bible says about itself! In fact, most nonbelievers who walk through a church door on Sunday morning believe that God created everything in six days—about seven thousand years ago—and then rested on Sunday (the first day). If you asked one of those same people if there was ever a time when Jesus walked on earth; or if he actually died for our sins; or if he rose again after three days in a tomb; they would probably say no! They may even say things like “I don’t know where I came from but I am sure that evolution accounts for my existence better than any religious story could possibly do.” To which I would reply: “You’re right.”
But before we explore further into these areas please keep two things in mind: First: No matter how far away from God you may feel right now—or how much doubt enters your mind about our Heavenly Father’s love for you personally—please understand that true Christianity does not require blind faith alone…it only requires faith plus evidence (from both inside our hearts as well as from outside sources). And second: We need both sides working together here…because ultimately it takes both science AND religion working together side-by-side to fully explain why there even exists such things as moral absolutes!
The Bible teaches us to be a certain way and live a certain way.
The Bible teaches us to be a certain way and live a certain way. The Bible is a guide for our lives, teaching us how to live a life that is pleasing to God. It contains wisdom that helps us know what is right and wrong in the eyes of God. The Bible teaches us to be good people who care about others and love each other as He loves us.
We can read the Bible for ourselves and figure out what it says about itself.
As Christians, we are called to read the Bible for ourselves and figure out what it says about itself. The Bible is the only book that talks about how to be saved and go to heaven. It is also the only source of truth. The Bible explains why our world is messed up and how we can have hope in this life, as well as eternity with God in heaven.
The Bible teaches us how to live our lives:
The Bible is the most important book ever written. It’s important because it’s God’s word, and it has all the answers to our questions. The Bible teaches us how to live as Christians, and it gives us hope for the future.
