Part of what makes Christianity so great is its emphasis on love: love for God and love for each other as siblings in Christ. Yet we all know that there are some people out there who take advantage of this focus on love, who use it for their own gain or to manipulate people into doing what they want by pretending like they care about you!

Bible Verses About Manipulation
Manipulation is an attempt to control or influence someone or something. It can be used for good or evil, but it’s important to remember that manipulation also has a spiritual dimension—the Bible teaches us how to avoid being manipulated as well as how to avoid manipulating others.
The Bible teaches us that we must be wary of manipulation in any form and not allow ourselves to be deceived into sinning: “Watch out! Don’t let anyone mislead you with empty philosophies and meaningless word games, which are based on human traditions and the elemental powers of this world rather than on Christ” (Colossians 2:8). The Apostle Paul warns believers against false teachers who use every trick in the book (and then some) in order for them to believe lies about God and His plan for our lives; this includes using fear tactics: “Don’t let anyone keep you from turning your life over to God by following human tradition instead of what Jesus taught” (Mark 7:7).
It is important to note that manipulation has a spiritual dimension, as it is often used by the enemy to lure us into sin.
