What Does The Bible Say About Miscarriage

The Bible says a lot about miscarriage. It’s not an easy topic to talk about, but it’s an important one to discuss.

Section: The Bible talks about miscarriages in several different places.

Section: First, let’s talk about the definition of miscarriage.

Section: This is a pregnancy that ends before 20 weeks.

Section: Why does the Bible mention miscarriages? Because many of them are caused by sin or idolatry that happens before the woman even realizes she’s pregnant!

Section: Leviticus 18 lists all sorts of sexual sins that would result in death for anyone who committed them—even if they happened by accident (vs 14-15). We don’t want to believe this would happen today, but consider how many unplanned pregnancies there are because someone wasn’t careful enough when doing something wrong (Ezekiel 23:1-17). If we’re not careful and don’t take precautions with sex because we’re not ready or mature enough then accidents happen too often! And with these accidents comes the possibility of losing our unborn children through miscarriage…or worse yet stillbirths! Abortion is murder so it doesn’t count as even being born yet—but if you think about why those babies died before they could even have their first breath on earth then wouldn’t you agree that abortion is murder too?

Miscarriage is something that no parent wants to think about, but it’s important to understand what God says about miscarriage.

It’s hard to imagine that there is comfort in the Bible when you are facing the loss of your child. But God promises to be a source of comfort for all who mourn. He promises to give strength and will never leave us or forsake us. He wants us to find hope in His Word, which gives us a picture of what life will be like after death (Revelation 21:4). Because of this, the Bible can provide guidance for those who are experiencing miscarriage.

What are the Christian beliefs on abortion and miscarriage?

The Christian beliefs on abortion and miscarriage are quite clear:

  • There is no sin in having an abortion. The fact that God allows miscarriages does not mean that He is punishing a mother or father for their sins. He permits them because of His grace, mercy, and love for us all.
  • Miscarriage is not a sign of sin in the mother or father. Even though it may seem like some kind of punishment from God during difficult times, it can also be an act of mercy to end an unviable pregnancy before it begins to harm the mother’s body or cause her great emotional pain trying to carry on with this pregnancy while she knows deep down inside that something is wrong with it.

Why does God allow miscarriage?

It is a fact that God allows miscarriage. However, this does not mean that He wants you to be in pain or feel abandoned. Rather, it means He has divinely ordained your life for His purposes and will do so regardless of what happens to you or your baby. The Bible says He knows how many hairs are on our head (Luke 12:7) and He knows everything about us (Psalm 139:1-6). It also reveals that even though these things may not make sense at first glance, they actually do when we look at them from an eternal perspective (Romans 8:28).

We must remember that God is sovereign over everything! This includes our circumstances including miscarriage as well as every other aspect of life; this includes whether or not someone will get cancer or if there will be an earthquake tomorrow morning in California during rush hour traffic which would cause massive delays on freeways causing people who work full time jobs have late arrival times due missing appointments because they were stuck behind cars backed up trying their best trying avoid major traffic jams caused by accidents from getting into collisions with each other while trying avoid hitting pedestrians crossing streets without looking both ways first before crossing safely avoiding being hit themselves by cars traveling too fast around corners onto sidewalks where pedestrians walk peacefully enjoying nature’s beauty watching birds fly overhead listening closely careful listening enjoying sounds hearing voices laughing quietly giggling watching children playing happily playing together having fun laughing together having fun doing nothing but just playing together…

The Bible provides comfort for those who have lost their baby through miscarriage.

God is with you.

The Bible tells us that God is always with us, even when we feel alone, and that He cares about each of our lives. God loves each of us more than we can imagine, and He wants to comfort us in our loss: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers[b] … will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39). Even though your baby has died through miscarriage, God still loves you very much!

God’s love is stronger than your pain.

When a loved one experiences a difficult loss or tragedy such as miscarriage, it can sometimes be hard for them to see past their own pain and sorrow into God’s greater purpose for their life—but this doesn’t mean there isn’t one! The Bible teaches us over and over again how strong God’s love really is; His mercy endures forever; nothing can separate us from His perfect peace (the Book of Hebrews). These truths are powerful reminders that no matter how many times we may stumble on this earth or how deep the wounds from our losses may run; nothing separates us from Jesus’ redemptive power or His healing grace through salvation—not even death itself!

There are many scriptures that provide hope for those who have lost their baby.

As you approach the Bible, keep in mind that it was written to comfort and encourage people through difficult circumstances, not just to give them answers about their questions. As you read:

  • God is with you in your loss. Psalm 119:50 says “This I call to mind, and therefore I have hope” (ESV). This doesn’t mean that all will be well soon or that there won’t be more grief ahead of you, but it does mean that God is with you now as He walks this path with you.
  • God is the God of all comfort (2 Cor 1:3-7; 2 Cor 7:5). We can find comfort knowing that we are not alone in our pain—God knows what we are going through because He has experienced it Himself when He allowed His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for us so that we might have eternal life with Him someday! (John 16:20-22; Colossians 1:15-23)

What does the Bible say about stillbirth?

The Bible does not specifically address the subject of stillbirth. However, there are several biblical passages that may be helpful when coping with the loss of a child.

  • Genesis 25:22: “Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife Rebekah because she was barren.” This verse shows that it is acceptable to pray for a miracle and a blessing from God in your life.
  • Psalm 139:13-16: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” These verses highlight how special each person is to God and how He cares about them personally, even before they were born.
  • Psalm 22:9-10: “Yet You are he who took me from the womb; You made me trust while upon my mother’s breasts.” These verses remind us that we were all born through the grace and mercy of God, even those who die early due to illness or other circumstances outside our control.
  • Isaiah 49:1-5: “Listen! [The Lord] called out by name, ‘Listen!’” Isaiah writes these words as encouragement for those who find themselves grieving over tragic circumstances like miscarriage or stillbirth—God has not forgotten about them!

These Bible verses can help you cope with miscarriage or stillbirth.

The Bible is full of verses that can help you cope with miscarriage or stillbirth. Here are some of them:

  • God is with you in your grief.
  • God is a God of comfort.
  • God is the God of life and of resurrection.
  • You are not alone in your pain, suffering, sorrow or loss; Jesus understands what you’re going through because He experienced it Himself when He died on the cross for us (John 11:32).

The loss of a baby is devastating, and it’s normal to feel angry, sad, or even guilty. But you will find comfort in God’s love and peace as you turn to him for help. You can find solace in the Scriptures that show us how God cares about those who grieve over their losses and understands our pain.
