What Does The Bible Say About Smoking Kjv
The Bible is a collection of books that was written by people who lived in different times and places. Many of the writers were inspired by God to write down what they saw and heard. But what they chose to write about has changed over time. The Bible we have today isn’t exactly like the one that existed at its creation—it’s been edited many times over the years! For example, Christians who lived in Europe during the Middle Ages didn’t have access to many of their predecessors’ works (due to the destruction of libraries during that era) so they had no choice but rewrite some sections with new information. That’s why there are so many versions available today: because each one is shaped by its own culture at the time it was written down again!
Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.
The purpose of life is to live in such a way that we can make an eternal impact on others. The purpose of the Bible is to give us direction, guidance and wisdom in fulfilling our purpose. The purpose of the soul is to provide you with permanent memory and access to your spirit/mind/heart through which you interact with God and fulfill your purpose in life. The body provides a vehicle for doing all this; it lets you communicate, work, play and enjoy life on earth until death comes knocking at your door asking for its return back home again where it will join your soul forever in heaven where there will be no more suffering but only joyous harmony with all creation around us!
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
As a Christian, you are responsible for taking care of your body. You have been given a gift by God and you should honor Him by keeping it healthy. The Bible says in I Corinthians 6:20-21 that the body is not our own, but belongs to God. He has given us this ability to take care of ourselves so we can serve Him better in other areas of life such as work and family. Your body is not just something you can use as you please; it’s also an extension of your relationship with Jesus Christ (the human form used by God).
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
In the same manner that we are warned against over indulging in food or alcohol, we should also be wary of letting our lives become too busy to take care of ourselves. This can lead to feelings of depression or anxiety which may lead us down the path towards an unhealthy lifestyle. In addition to this warning about self-neglect comes another warning about not being able to see what is coming in the future due to being so focused on other things. The biblical text states:
`And take heed unto yourselves, lest AT ANY TIME your HEARTS BE OVERCHARGED WITH SURFEITING (overindulgence) AND DRUNKENNESS (excessive consumption of alcohol), AND CARES OF THIS LIFE’S PURSUITS (concerns related only with this world and NOTHING ELSE), SO THAT THE DAY COME UPON YOU UNAWARES!
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
The Bible says,
- But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
- 1 Corinthians 9:27
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
The Bible has a lot to say about the importance of following God’s commandments. We see it in the Ten Commandments, which are all based on God’s love for us and his desire to protect us from harm. These commandments are very simple, but they were revolutionary at the time they were given, because nobody had ever thought about these things before.
We find similar teachings in other parts of Scripture as well:
- “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10)
- “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8)
- “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:12
For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
- “For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.” (Isaiah 40:6-8)
- “Learn to number your days, that ye may apply your hearts unto wisdom.” (Psalm 90:12)
Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

There is a time to laugh and a time to cry,
a time to live, and a time to die.
There is a time for war and a time for peace,
a time for planting and one for reaping.
A sword cuts through bone like butter through bread; it doesn’t take long before it’s done its job on both sides of the blade – one side dead, one side alive; it all depends on which side you’re standing on at any given moment…
